DAGUSIBU (Get, Use, Store, and Dispose) is an educational program promoting proper medicine management. This study aimed to assess changes in knowledge among members of the Dawaturisallah Islamic Study Group before and after DAGUSIBU education. A pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was conducted involving 35 respondents selected through total sampling. Eligible participants were residents of Kumpang Tengah Village, Landak Regency, aged 15 years or older, able to communicate verbally, and able to understand Indonesian. Participants with relevant sensory, cognitive, or communication impairments, severe medical conditions, or ongoing medical treatment were excluded. The intervention consisted of a one-hour lecture supported by PowerPoint slides. Knowledge was assessed before and after education using the same 16-item questionnaire covering four domains: obtaining medicines (5 items), using medicines (3 items), storing medicines (4 items), and disposing of medicines (4 items). Knowledge levels were categorized as good (>75%), moderate (56–75%), and poor (<56%). Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 32. The Shapiro–Wilk test assessed normality, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test compared paired scores because the difference scores were not normally distributed. Before education, 21 respondents (60.0%) had moderate knowledge, 13 (37.1%) had poor knowledge, and 1 (2.9%) had good knowledge. After education, 31 (88.6%) had good knowledge and 4 (11.4%) had moderate knowledge. The difference was statistically significant (Z = −5.166; p < 0.001). These findings indicate short-term knowledge improvement following education; however, the one-group design cannot establish causality or demonstrate long-term retention or behavioral change.
