Dyspepsia is a group of symptoms affecting the upper gastrointestinal tract and remains a health concern requiring appropriate pharmacological management. Sekura Community Health Center has a relatively high number of dyspepsia cases; however, information regarding medication utilization patterns among patients with dyspepsia remains limited. This study aimed to describe medication utilization patterns among patients with dyspepsia at Sekura Community Health Center from January to June 2026. This descriptive observational study employed a retrospective approach using prescription and/or medical records of patients diagnosed with dyspepsia during the study period. Total sampling included 741 patients who met the study criteria. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in tables, diagrams, and narrative descriptions. Dyspepsia cases were most frequently observed among patients aged 46–65 years (300 patients, 40.49%) and female patients (484 patients, 65.32%). The medications recorded were DOEN antacids, ranitidine, and omeprazole, accounting for 35.63%, 34.28%, and 30.09% of medication use, respectively. During the study period, the recorded numbers of medication administration events were 264 for DOEN antacids, 254 for ranitidine, and 223 for omeprazole. These figures represent medication administration events rather than unique patients or prescriptions. The findings provide a descriptive overview of medication utilization at Sekura Community Health Center and may inform pharmaceutical service evaluation, particularly regarding prescription appropriateness, dosage accuracy, medication safety, and adherence to current clinical guidelines. Further research is needed to assess treatment outcomes and factors influencing prescribing decisions.
