Pengembangan E-Modul Matematika Berbantuan Heyzine Berbasis Pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis Peserta didik
Abstract
This study aims to develop a mathematics e-module assisted by Heyzine and grounded in the Culturally Responsive Teaching approach that is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ mathematical connection abilities. This study employed the Research and Development method using the ADDIE model, comprising the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects consisted of two subject matter experts, two media experts, two mathematics teachers, ten Grade IX students for the trial class, and twenty-three Grade VIII E students from MTs Persis Benda for the implementation class. Research instruments included expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and mathematical connection skill tests (pretest and posttest). Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using Aiken’s V index to assess validity, an effect size test to determine effectiveness, and an N-gain test to measure the improvement in mathematical connection skills. The results indicate that the CRT-based, Heyzine-assisted mathematics e-module was successfully developed and deemed valid and suitable for use in mathematics instruction. Implementation of the e-module demonstrated an improvement in students' mathematical connection skills, with an N-gain score of 0.76, falling into the high category. Furthermore, an effect size of 4.38 was obtained, placing it in the "strong effect" category. These results demonstrate that the use of the CRT-based, Heyzine-assisted mathematics e-module is effective in enhancing students' mathematical connection skills. Thus, the e-module developed in this study serves as a viable alternative digital teaching module that supports contextual and meaningful mathematics learning, particularly in fostering students' mathematical connection skills
