Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas X SMKN 1 Pringgabaya pada materi pokok persamaan fungsi tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan jumlah populasi 102 siswa yang terdiri dari 4 kelas dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak sehingga diperoleh kelas X-TAV sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-TKJ sebagai kelas kontrol. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data adalah data tes hasil belajar diperoleh dari data tes evaluasi sedangkan data aktivitas belajar siswa diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas X SMKN 1 pringgabaya pada materi pokok persamaan fungsi tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Hal tersebut berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji-t yang menunjukkan thitung (4.644) lebih besar dari ttabel (1,671) pada taraf signifikan 5%. Aktivitas belajar siswa terkatagori cukup tinggi, akan tetapi aktivitas kelas eksperimen dalam dua pertemuan (2,33 dan 2,47) lebih tinggi dibandingkan aktivitas kelas kontrol (2,19 dan 2,23).
