This study evaluated the effectiveness of a Discord-supported flipped guided inquiry learning (FGIL) system for buffer-solution learning outcomes among Grade 11 students at SMAN 2 Padang. A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest non-equivalent control-group design involved 52 students, with 26 students in the experimental group and 26 in the control group. Learning outcomes were measured using a 20-item multiple-choice test selected from a 50-item pilot pool. Mean scores increased from 65.96 to 90.58 in the experimental group and from 65.19 to 85.58 in the control group. Mean N-gain values were 0.723 (high) and 0.585 (medium), respectively. A Mann–Whitney U test comparing the N-gain scores between the experimental and control groups yielded U = 173, Z = 3.02, and p = 0.0025. Within the limitations of the non-randomized two-class design, the findings suggest that Discord-supported FGIL was associated with greater learning improvement than conventional instruction.
