EFEKTIVITAS MODEL TEACHING GAMES FOR UNDERSTANDING DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR LARI JARAK PENDEK SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) terhadap motivasi belajar lari jarak pendek siswa kelas V SDN 01 Pringgajurang Utara Tahun 2024. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran PJOK, khususnya materi lari jarak pendek, yang disebabkan oleh pendekatan pembelajaran yang bersifat monoton dan kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Model TGfU merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis permainan taktis yang menekankan pada pemahaman konsep permainan sebelum penguasaan teknik, sehingga dinilai mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest design tanpa kelompok kontrol. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 21 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket motivasi belajar yang terdiri dari lima indikator: keyakinan diri, strategi belajar, nilai pembelajaran PJOK, tujuan belajar, dan lingkungan belajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji paired sample t-test dengan bantuan SPSS Statistics 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest motivasi belajar siswa. Rata-rata skor motivasi meningkat secara nyata setelah siswa diberikan perlakuan dengan model TGfU. Temuan ini menjawab hipotesis bahwa model TGfU berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Model pembelajaran TGfU efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran lari jarak pendek dan dapat dijadikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran PJOK yang inovatif dan menyenangkan di sekolah dasar
