Focus and Scope

Mandalika Veterinery Journal (mvj)  menerbitkan makalah berkualitas tinggi dan kebaruan yang berfokus pada Kedokteran Hewan dan Ilmu Peternakan. Bidang studi tersebut adalah anatomi, patologi, kedokteran dasar, kesehatan masyarakat veteriner, mikrobiologi, reproduksi veteriner, parasitologi, peternakan, dan kesejahteraan hewan. Makanan hewan, hewan pendamping, obat kuda, hewan air, hewan liar, obat tradisional, akupuntur, epidemiologi, biomolekuler, forensik, hewan laboratorium dan model hewan dari infeksi manusia dipertimbangkan.

Peer Review Process

MVJ conducts a double-blind review process. If the manuscript is decided to be feasible, the author will get a notification from the editor to revise the manuscript. Autor must submit revised manuscripts before the deadline for the editors to decide on the copyediting and layout stages. Autor will receive notification of the manuscript that has been proofread by the editor. The author must respond to the proofread before it is decided to be published online.
 

The editor can reject the manuscript at this stage:
1. initial submission if it does not fit the focus and scope of the journal;
2. peer-review process decisions;
3. the revision of the manuscript does not conform to peer-reviewed advice;
4. The author does not follow the editor's instructions according to deadlines.
The editor will send notification of rejection of the manuscript to the author through OJS.

The decision of the editorial board is absolute and free of conflicts of interest.

The article review process usually takes average 12 weeksThis review period depends on the editors and reviewers duration in reviewing the manuscript.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Author Guidelines

Penulis diminta untuk mengirimkan naskah secara elektronik online melalui  https://e-journal.undikma.ac.id/index.php/mvj/login . 

Pastikan naskah Anda berisi tujuan yang sesuai dengan MVJ. Silakan baca Focus & Scope ( https://e-journal.undikma.ac.id/index.php/mvj/about/editorialPolicies#focusAndScope ) jurnal. Naskah di luar ruang lingkup akan dikembalikan kepada penulis sebelum proses peninjauan.

Naskah harus disiapkan menggunakan Microsoft Words. Berikan gambar dalam format JPEG dan pertahankan minimal 300 dpi. Jika menggunakan perangkat lunak Microsoft untuk memproses gambar, biarkan semua tanda dan simbol dikelompokkan ke gambar. Gambar dan tabel disusun menurut template JSV ( https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vKPhhJxsEMRG-PlvrOvpGdgV88tncCVZ/view?usp=sharing ) dan diberi nomor secara berurutan. Pastikan semua gambar dan tabel memiliki keterangan yang dilampirkan pada gambar / tabel. Judul harus terdiri dari judul singkat dan deskripsi lengkap dari gambar / tabel termasuk semua simbol dan singkatan yang digunakan.

Panjang total naskah tidak lebih dari 20 halaman ukuran kertas A4 pada satu baris spasi.

 A. Struktur Artikel

1. Judul

Must be concise and informative, written in Bahasa Indonesia and English, no more than 20 words (10-20 words)

2. Author's identity

Contains the full name of each authors and check their names are accurately spelled. The authors’ affiliation is indicated with a lower-case superscript letter immediately after the authors’ name and in front of the institution’s addresses (full postal address including the country name).

Corresponding author

Clearly indicate the corresponding author and provide the e-mail address in the manuscript according to template. Ensure that the given e-mail address (phone number and fax) is valid and kept up date by the corresponding author.

 3. Abstract

Written in Bahasa Indonesia and English consisting of a maximum of 250 words with a maximum of 5 keywords. The abstract is prepared in single space of a single paragraph.

4. Introduction

Contains background that contains the importance and purpose of the research, and the benefits of the research that has been done.

5. Materials and Methods

Written without material and method subtitle. Materials and equipment are described on behalf of the manufacturer, chemical name and trade name. The methodology of the study is written briefly and accompanied with selected analysis.

6. Results and Discussion

The results are described sequentially, detailed and clear. The result is discussed in a scientific and rational manner supported with relevant scientific references.

7. Conclusions

The conclusions of the research results are stated briefly, solidly and clearly.

8. Acknowledgements

Only listed individuals and institutions which was truly assist the research.

9. How to Cite

Reference citation is done by writing down the name of the primary author and the year of publication. Use connecting words ‘and’ for 2 authors and ‘et al’ for 3 or more authors depending on the language of the original article used. Please follow the article template provided.

10. References

Sorted alphabetically and journal abbreviation is in accordance to internationally recognised rules i.e. ISI, CAS Core Journal Abbreviations. Cited literatures should not older than 10 years and book is limited to a maximum of 20% of the full bibliography.

Susunan naskah meliputi: Abstrak, Pendahuluan, Materi dan Metode, Hasil dan Pembahasan, Kesimpulan, Ucapan Terima Kasih dan Daft

 

Publication Ethics

Etika publikasi

 

Sebagai jurnal peer-reviwed, pernyataan ini mengklarifikasi perilaku etis semua pihak yang terlibat dalam publikasi naskah Jurnal Sain Veteriner, termasuk penulis, editor (editor-in chief dan associate editor), dan peer-reviewer. Pernyataan ini didasarkan pada Pedoman Praktik untuk publikasi seperti dalam Komite Etika Publikasi (COPE's Best).

 Secara umum, semua pihak harus:

  • mempromosikan keadilan dan kesetaraan dan menentang diskriminasi
  • mempromosikan transparansi dan menghormati catatan akademik
  • menghormati kerahasiaan orang lain
  • bersikap transparan tentang persaingan kepentingan yang nyata atau nyata.

Tugas Penulis

  1. Standar Pelaporan: 
    Penulis laporan penelitian asli harus menyajikan laporan akurat dari pekerjaan yang dilakukan serta diskusi objektif tentang signifikansinya. Data yang mendasari harus disajikan secara akurat di koran. Sebuah makalah harus berisi detail dan referensi yang cukup untuk memungkinkan orang lain mereplikasi karya tersebut. Pernyataan yang menipu atau secara sengaja tidak akurat merupakan perilaku yang tidak etis dan tidak dapat diterima.
  2. Akses dan Retensi Data: 
    Authors are asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data (consistent with the ALPSP-STM Statement on Data and Databases), if practicable, and should in any event be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.
  3. Originality and Plagiaris: The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.
  4. Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication: 
    An author should not in general publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and is unacceptable.
  5. Acknowledgement of Sources: 
    Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.
  6. Authorship of the Paper: 
    Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included on the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
  7. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: 
    All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
  8. Fundamental errors in published works: 
    When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
  9. Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects: 
    If the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have any unusual hazards inherent in their use, the author must clearly identify these in the manuscript.

Duties of Editors

  1. Fair Play: 
    An editor at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
  2. Confidentiality: 
    The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.
  3. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: 
    Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author.
  4. Publication Decisions
    The editor board journal are responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editors may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.
  5. Review of Manuscripts: 
    Editor must ensure that each manuscript is initially evaluated by the editor for originality. The editor should organize and use peer review fairly and wisely. Editors should explain their peer review processes in the information for authors and also indicate which parts of the journal are peer reviewed. Editor should use appropriate peer reviewers for papers that are considered for publication by selecting people with sufficient expertise and avoiding those with conflicts of interest.

Duties of Reviewers

  1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions:
    Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper.
  2. Promptness: 
    Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process
  3. Standards of Objectivity: 
    Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
  4. Confidentiality: 
    Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
  5. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: 
    Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.
  6. Pengakuan Sumber: 
    Pengulas harus mengidentifikasi karya terbitan relevan yang belum dikutip oleh penulis. Setiap pernyataan observasi, derivasi, atau argumen yang telah dilaporkan sebelumnya harus disertai dengan kutipan yang relevan. Pengulas juga harus meminta perhatian editor untuk setiap kesamaan atau tumpang tindih antara manuskrip yang sedang dipertimbangkan dan makalah lain yang diterbitkan yang mereka ketahui secara pribadi.

Penulis yang menerbitkan jurnal ini menyetujui persyaratan berikut:

  1. Jurnal memungkinkan  penulis untuk memegang hak cipta artikel tanpa batasan .

  2. Jurnal memungkinkan penulis untuk mempertahankan hak penerbitan tanpa batasan

  3. Penulis dapat membuat pengaturan kontrak tambahan yang terpisah untuk distribusi non-eksklusif dari versi jurnal yang diterbitkan dari karya tersebut (misalnya, mempostingnya ke penyimpanan institusional atau menerbitkannya dalam sebuah buku), dengan pengakuan atas publikasi awalnya di jurnal ini.

  4. Archiving

Jurnal ini menggunakan sistem LOCKSS untuk membuat sistem pengarsipan terdistribusi di antara perpustakaan yang berpartisipasi dan mengizinkan perpustakaan tersebut untuk membuat arsip permanen jurnal untuk tujuan pelestarian dan pemulihan.

 

Screening For Plagiarism

Naskah yang dikirimkan dalam jurnal ini akan disaring untuk plagiarisme menggunakan software Turnitin v1.2. Hanya manuskrip dengan ambang plagiarisme <20% yang dipertimbangkan dalam proses peer-review.

Jurnal ini tidak memungut biaya pengiriman.

Jurnal ini tidak membebankan biaya pada penulis.
