Peran Kepala Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Guru Produktif di SMK Negeri Sukoharjo Kabupaten Pringsewu

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru produktif di SMK Negeri Sukoharjo, Kabupaten Pringsewu, Provinsi Lampung melalui supervisi akademik. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala sekolah, pengawas manajerial, serta 12 guru produktif dari enam konsentrasi keahlian. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan sudah dilaksanakan secara sistematis melalui Rencana Kerja Sekolah (RKS) dan RKAS, namun keterlibatan guru masih bersifat top-down. Supervisi berjalan dalam tiga tahap terstruktur, yakni pra-observasi, observasi kelas atau bengkel, dan pasca-observasi, dengan frekuensi minimal dua kali per semester. Teknik yang paling dominan adalah observasi kelas langsung dan studi dokumentasi perangkat pembelajaran.

Abstract: This study examines the role of the school principal in improving the performance of productive teachers at SMK Negeri Sukoharjo, Pringsewu Regency, Lampung Province through academic supervision. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation involving the principal, supervisory inspector, and 12 productive teachers representing six vocational concentrations. Findings reveal that planning has been systematically implemented through school work plans (RKS and RKAS), yet teacher involvement remains predominantly top-down. Supervision is conducted in three structured phases, namely pre-observation, classroom or workshop observation, and post-observation, with a minimum frequency of twice per semester. The dominant technique used is direct classroom observation combined with learning document review.
