Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi yang digunakan oleh kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan kompetensi pedagogik guru di SMP Negeri 34 Muaro Jambi, serta untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat pelaksanaan strategi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Narasumber dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan guru yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data diuji dengan cara triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menerapkan strategi pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik guru melalui empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, serta pengawasan dan evaluasi.

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the strategies used by the principal in developing teachers' pedagogical competence at SMP Negeri 34 Muaro Jambi, as well as to identify the factors that support and hinder the implementation of these strategies. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study. The sources in this study consist of the principal, vice principal, and teachers selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data was tested through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the principal implements strategies for developing teachers' pedagogical competence through four stages, namely planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision and evaluation.
