The subjects involved were 6 students of the Mathematics Education Department, where three of them were female and the rest were male. The instrument used is a description question on the topic of Three Variable Linear Equation System that adapted through PISA standard questions. The analytical tool used is the problem-solving stage introduced by Polya. The results showed that at the stage of understanding the problem, male students were more able to understand the questions and some of them were able to rewrite them based on their own words. At the stage of making a solution plan, all male subjects could make a mathematical model of the given problem as well as for two female subjects, while there was one female subject who was unable to make a mathematical model. At the stage of carrying out the plan, the three male subjects were again able to complete the plan properly, while the female subject still had difficulty solving the problems given. At the review stage, all male subjects had re-examined, while all female subjects did not reach this stage. The type of research is descriptive-qualitative. The instruments used are the Matching Familiar Figure Test, the math problem-solving ability test, and interview guidelines. Data collection methods include cognitive style tests, math problem-solving ability tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Indicators of Krulik and Rudnick problem-solving stages are reading and thinking, exploring and planning, selecting a strategy, finding answers, reflecting, and developing. The results showed that students with fast, accurate, and reflective cognitive styles were able to fulfill five indicators of the Krulik and Rudnick problem-solving stages. Reflective students allocate time appropriately and thoroughly in solving problems compared to fast-accurate students, so that the answers given by reflective students are more accurate than those given by fast-accurate students. Students with an impulsive cognitive style are able to run four indicators, while slow inaccurate students are able to run three indicators</em><em> of</em><em> Krulik and Rudnick. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the quantum learning model on increasing student motivation and learning activities. This research is experimental quantitative research consisting of two classes, namely the control class and the experimental class. Data collection instruments used questionnaires.Data analysis used in this study is a descriptive test, normality test, and paired sample test. The results of the normality test (Shapiro-Wilk) for learning motivation of the control class and experimental class amounted to 0.147 greater than 0.05 and for learning activities of the control class and experimental class amounted to 0.362 greater than 0.05. T-test for learning motivation showed that the improvement of the experimental class was higher than the control class (t = -0.785 p = 0.220 > 0.05) and the SE value of Cohen's d (0.317). Jenis yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melibatkan subjek sebanyak 15 orang peserta didik di kota Palembang yang dipilih secara acak yaitu peserta didik kelas XI dan kelas XII yang memiliki kesediaan menjadi sukarelawan mengerjakan permasalahan yang disajikan. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yaitu dengan cara tes tertulis dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya diolah untuk dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif non-statistik atau tanpa menggunakan perhitungan statistik. Kemudian hasil yang diperoleh akan dideskripsikan menggunakan kalimat yang merujuk pada indikator tahapan pembelesaian masalah Polya dan akan ditarik kesimpulannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara keseluruhan peserta didik telah mampu memahami masalah <em>Open-ended </em>dengan konteks perahu bidar pada materi statistika dengaan cara menuliskan informasi berdasarkan sudut pandang dari masing-masing peserta didik. Pada tahap merencanakan strategi pemecahan masalah sebagian besar peserta didik kesulitan dalam menentukan strateginya seperti membuat permisalan. Begitu juga pada tahap melaksanakan strategi pemecahan masalah sebagian besar peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam melaksanakan penyelesaian karena tidak dapat menyelesaikan tahapan sebelumnya. The type of research used was descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII of Bruder Junior High School Pontianak who were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection through tests and interviews. The way to determine the ability of visual imagery is students by looking at indicators, namely receiving information, transforming and evaluating. The results of the research conducted show that the grouping of mathematical abilities is classified as high with a total of 2 students out of 30 by 6.67%, a group classified as medium with a total of 2 students out of 30 by 6.67% and a group that is in the low category as many as 26 students out of 30 by 86.66%. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya ada guru yang menggunakan bahan ajar yang kurang sesuai dengan lingkungan siswa, termasuk guru matematika di kabupaten Bima. Bahan ajar yang digunakan tidak merepresentasikan kondisi lingkungan yang ada di kabupaten Bima, ini menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami dan mengvisualisasikan model matematika ataupun bentuk matematika yang dimaksud. Pengembangan bahan ajar berupa modul berbasis kearifan lokal Bima untuk kelas awal ini penting di adakan untuk membantu siswa di daerah memahami konsep matematika secara utuh serta maksimal dalam mencapai hasil belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menghasilkan produk bahan ajar berupa modul pembelajaran matematika berbasis kearifan lokal Bima pada pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas awal. Tempat penelitian yang digunakan yaitu di SDN O’o di Kecamatan Donggo Kabupaten Bima. Adapun teknik pengambilan data pada penelitian ini meliputi observasi, wawancara dan angket. Observasi dan wawancara dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan data awal sehingga bisa dijadikan acuan dalam perencanaan pengembangan modul matematika berbasis kearifan lokal Bima, adapun data hasil observasi dan wawancara ini dianalisis secara kualitatif.
